Description:

Star Wars A New Hope Death Star Turbolaser Tower Large Scale. Designed by ILM (Industrial Light & Magic). This piece was hand made by famed industry artist Marc Elkins to replicate the original we viewed in 1977’s Star Wars. This piece is truly fantastic. It stands tall, and is highly detailed on all four sides with paneling and conduits, including finer detail parts. The Turbolaser itself is magnificent, and is highly detailed to match the original as much as possible, including what looks to be an exterior ladder run. If real it would be too large for that purpose, though the detail looks impressive upon it. The Turbolaser swivels freely from right to left, and may be swiveled a full 360 degrees. It is also removable for transport. The Tower sits on a smaller Death Star surface that has many detailed panels on it. The base sits on a larger black wood base for its final display setting. The entire piece is painted in a gray base paint, and weathered heavily which highlights the panel work on all four sides. There are obvious lubrication and rust drips trailing out of certain parts, and around specific panels on this piece. The barrels of the Turbolaser are excellent, and look exactly as they should. Truly a menacing site if it were real. An absolutely beautiful piece. Keywords: Collectible; Ref: BD1831
