Antique Winchester Model 1873 Deluxe .44 WCF Lever Action Rifle with Cody Letter. This .44-40 caliber, remarkable Winchester Deluxe 1873 sports a 28” octagon barrel coupled with a full-length magazine tube. The barrel has a dovetailed, German-silver blade front sight paired with an elevator-adjustable buckhorn rear sight. The top flat of the barrel has the roll-stamped Winchester two-line address. The upper tang shows the model number with the lower tang exhibiting the serial number. The 2nd model receiver has the dust cover rail that is attached with two screws. The dust cover is serrated. The barrel and magazine tube were blued while the forearm cap, receiver, hammer, loading lever and crescent butt-plate were all color-case hardened. The butt-plate has the sliding cover for the trapdoor that holds the cleaning rod. The cleaning rod is present with this rifle. The wood stocks are checkered and made of high-grade Walnut.   • The overall condition of this Winchester rates as Very Fine. The original bluing on the barrel and magazine tube is turning to a very even and pleasing medium-brown patina. The remainder of the metal parts show varying degrees of the original color-case hardening especially in protected areas. The barrel bore is very shiny with pronounced and strong rifling. Screw heads are in excellent condition. The deeply checkered forearm and buttstock compliment the highly-figured tones of rich Walnut. The action is solid, strong and smooth and functions perfectly. There does not appear to be any replaced parts. The well-cared-for condition of this Winchester reflects the pride of ownership of “The Gun That Won the West”.

Any local Arizona Buyer of Post 1898 firearms MUST complete all necessary registration forms at Bradford's Auction Gallery. Local Buyers MUST have a Valid ARIZONA ID with Current Physical Address. If your Arizona ID does not reflect your current address you MUST provide us with a secondary form of ID that contains your correct address. Arizona Gun Dealers must have a signed copy of their Federal Firearms License in order to accept delivery of modern weapons. ANY DENIED BACKGROUND CHECK WILL RESULT IN A REFUND MINUS A 25% RESTOCKING FEE.
